Terms of service

WHAT MIAM IS Miam is an app that helps you assess whether a food product is compatible with the food sensitivities you have declared (e.g. FODMAP, histamine, gluten, lactose), through label analysis, food suggestions, recipes, a diary and a store map. The service is provided by Pavel Filingeri (contact: pavel.filingeri00@gmail.com). By using Miam you accept these terms. 2. NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE Miam is an informational support tool: it does NOT provide medical advice, does not make diagnoses and does not replace the opinion of a doctor or dietitian. Verdicts are produced by combining curated data and artificial intelligence and MAY CONTAIN ERRORS: always read the product label yourself before consuming a product. Miam is not designed to manage allergies with a risk of severe or anaphylactic reactions: in that case do not rely on the app and consult your doctor. The Medical Disclaimer also applies and forms part of these terms. 3. YOUR ACCOUNT You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for what happens through your account. New registrations may be subject to approval. We may suspend accounts in case of abuse, fraudulent use or breach of these terms. 4. ACCEPTABLE USE You may not: use the service in an automated or bulk way (scraping, bots), attempt to bypass technical or quota limits, submit unlawful content, attempt to access other users' data, resell or redistribute the service. AI-based features have a monthly per-user quota; quotas and features may change. 5. COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS By reporting product availability in a store you grant Miam a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use that report (in aggregate form, not attributable to you) to improve the service for all users. 6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY The app, the brand, editorial content and the curated database belong to the Controller or their licensors. Store data derives in part from OpenStreetMap (© OSM contributors, ODbL licence); product data in part from Open Food Facts (ODbL licence). 7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY The service is provided "as is", to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that verdicts, product data or store information are complete, accurate or up to date. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Controller is not liable for damages arising from decisions taken solely on the basis of information provided by the app. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, nor your mandatory consumer rights. 8. CHANGES AND TERMINATION We may change or discontinue features of the service; for substantial changes to these terms we will notify you in the app. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; data processing is described in the Privacy notice. 9. GOVERNING LAW These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, the mandatory protections of your country of residence and the jurisdiction of your consumer forum remain unaffected.
